The first Los Angeles Angels played in the legendary Wrigley Field, considered the finest minor league park of all time. Famous Angels included Jigger Statz, Smead Jolley and future television actor Chuck Connors. In 1957, the Angels played at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles, led by fencer Steve Bilko. However, after the Dodgers moved to the West Coast, the Los Angeles Angels ceased to exist at the end of the 1957 season.
