Collection: KARHU

The Karhu brand, founded in 1916 under the name Ab Sport Artiklar Oy, is a Finnish manufacturer of sporting goods. At the 1952 Olympic Games, the brand was one of the largest manufacturers of sports shoes and also owned the rights to the 3 sacred stripes that adorned their trainers. After selling the rights to the Adidas brand for 16,000 euros and two bottles of whisky, the trainers were marked with an "M". Today, KARHU boasts successes such as the "Best Debut" award from Runner's World Magazine in 2009 and a nomination for "Sneaker of the Year 2005" at the Global Sports Style Awards in Munich. With over 100 years' experience in the trade, the Finns know exactly what makes a good sneaker: good design and good comfort.
